The 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 has the same voltage and a similar footprint to standard Group 22 and Group 24 lead-acid batteries, so it drops into most existing battery trays. The M6 terminal size is standard. The one requirement is that your charger must be LiFePO4 compatible – a standard lead-acid charger will damage the cells over time. If you charge using solar with an MPPT controller, ensure your controller has a LiFePO4 charge profile available. Can I use my existing solar charge controller with this battery? Yes, if your MPPT or PWM controller has a LiFePO4 or lithium charge profile setting. Set the charge voltage to 14.6V and absorption voltage to 14.4V. Most modern MPPT controllers from Victron, Epever, Renogy and similar brands include this setting.
